Emergency maintenance on shared storage

On friday december 19th between 08.30 and 11.30h emergency maintenance will be executed on NetApp MetroCluster. The maintenance is a follow up from the incident on shared storage on december 17th. This maintenance might impact all services using shared storage. A "take over / give back" will be executed between the filers. This means that one filer will be taken over by the partner filer. And after that a give back to the original filer of the services.

Customers of a redundant iSCSI of NFS share might find there shares unavailable for a maximum of 180 seconds. Customers with single iSCSI or NFS shares might find their share being unavailable for a maximum of 30 minutes.

The filer has succesfully taken over it's partner filer. We will restore normal operations on 08.52 h. AM.

Update 08.58

The normal situation has been reached. The emergency maintenance has been completed succesfully. The NetApp Metro Cluster is functioning properly.
