Diesel generator maintenance BIT-1 / BIT-2

On Wednesday, January 28th at 05.00h our supplier will perform periodic maintenance on the diesel generator at BIT-1. During this maintenance the generator will be disconnected from the emergency power setup for approximately 30 minutes. As a result the diesel generator will not be available in case of a utility power failure. The redundant UPS set will be available during the maintenance. Of course, we will try to keep the duration of the maintenance of a minimum.
After the maintenance at BIT-1 at approximately 07.00h maintenance will be performed on the two diesel generators at BIT-2A. This maintenance will take approximately 90 minutes per generator. The maintenance will be done one generator at a time, so during the maintenance one generator will be operational at all times. A single generator is able to provide emergency power to the entire BIT-2A datacenter.Finally, periodic maintenance will be done on the three diesel generators at BIT-2BCD. This maintenance will also take approximately 90 minutes per generator. Maintenance on the generators will be done one at a time, so two generators will remain operational.Two generators are able to provide emergency power to the entire BIT-2BCD datacenter.
The entire maintenance will be supervised by BIT's datacenter engineers.
