Core switch maintenance

On Thursday, June 25h between 0.00h and 7.00h BIT will perform maintenance on core network switches. These switches are responsible for transporting traffic between the BIT-1 and BIT-2 datacenter in Ede and SARA and Telecity 2 in Amsterdam, where traffic is exchanged with various other networks.
During this maitenance these switches will be given a software upgrade, which will require a reboot of the switches. As a result, the following services will be disupted several times:
- internet traffic (which will be rerouted via other paths)
- UMTS connections via BIT
- DSL connections
- Customer VLANs between BIT-1/BIT-2 and SARA/Telecity 2
