Maintenance NetApp Metro Cluster

On the 8th of December between 0.00h and 7.00h BIT engineers will perform maintenance on the NetApp Metro Cluster. This maintenance is impacting all services and customers who make use of this Metro Cluster.
During this maintenance the NetApp Metro Cluster will be updated to a new ONTAP version. To activate the update on the filers they will be rebooted one by one. Before a reboot is performed the services on the filer will be taken over by the partner node. After the reboot the services will be returned by the partner node. Customers with a redundant iSCSI lun or NFS share might experience a short service disruption (max 180 seconds). Check, to avoid unnecessary downtime, if the "best-practices" for iSCSI / NFS usage have been applied. Customers with a non-redundant iSCSI lun or NFS share might experience longer downtime (approximately 30 minutes). For more information regarding "best-practices" please contact us.
