EMERGENCY maintenance colocation switches
15-12-2015 00:00:00
- 15-12-2015 07:00:00
On Tuesday the 15th of December between 0:00h and 7:00h maintenance will be performed on two colocation switches in BIT-2. During this maintenance the switches will be rebooted and as a result all uplinks on these switches will be unavailable for approximately 15 minutes.
Rebooting the switches is necessary after problems on one the switches expanded to the other switch.
Please note that not only customers with equipment in BIT-2B and BIT-2C will be affected by these reboots. Customers with a redundant uplink in other server rooms might be patched on these switches as well. Check your invoice to see whether you will be affected by this reboot. All uplinks with the strings "rbfs1.bit-2b" or "rbfs1.bit-2c" in their names will be unavailable. For customers with redundant uplinks we will set preference to the other uplink before performing the reboot.
If you have any questions regarding this maintenance, please contact the Customer Care department by phone on +31 (0)318 648 688 or by email on support@bit.nl.
Update placed at 00.15
This emergency maintenance is resolved. Two network blades from rbfs1.bit-2c have been reset. All network components are completely redundant and no packetloss is seen ever since.
