Job Vacancy: Datacenter Engineer

Contribute to building the digital world of the future as a Datacenter Engineer.

At BIT, we are searching for a talented and motivated Datacenter Engineer to join our team. As a Datacenter Engineer, you will play an essential role in managing and maintaining our data center infrastructure. You will ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our data centers, utilizing your technical skills and knowledge of data center management.

What will you do?

As a Datacenter Engineer, you will be part of a team responsible for managing and maintaining our data center infrastructure. Your task is to optimize power supply and cooling operations in collaboration with your colleagues by performing preventive maintenance and resolving technical malfunctions. Additionally, you will monitor infrastructure performance and availability and implement security measures. You will also be involved in the physical management of servers, storage, and networks, including installing additional hardware, laying fiber optic connections, and replacing defective hardware.

You will also be responsible for documenting procedures and coordinating with other BIT team members and suppliers to optimize the data center infrastructure. Furthermore, you will contribute to the development of new data center solutions and stay updated on the latest developments in data center management and technology.

In addition to your daily responsibilities, you will frequently conduct tours for various audiences, such as students, clients, and other interested parties. During these tours, you will translate complex technical information into understandable language and craft an engaging narrative.

As a Datacenter Engineer, you will also participate in on-call rotations, being available overnight in case of emergencies. Additionally, as a designated emergency response team member (BHV'er) at BIT, you will be responsible for actions during crisis situations.
